Meet our team of professional counselors & therapists
Hello! I’m Trisha Swinton
Licensed Therapist
In working with individuals, I assist my clients to determine underlying fears, gaining insight into the cause of the fear and anxiety, and beginning the healing process. I treat victims who have been abused by empowering them and helping them find their inner strength to cope in a healthy way. I work with adults, adolescents, children and families. I also work with people who are suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, and victims of abuse.
Maria Lebovich
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019 & work with children, teens and individual adults.
I utilize person-centered principles, CBT, mindfulness and elements of EMDR in my approach with clients. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, past trauma, self-esteem issues, adjustment issues, grief and loss and relational issues.
Before pursuing a career in counseling, I had a career in eldercare. My life experience with my previous career gives me a unique perspective on development across the lifespan.
I live with my spouse and 2 dogs. In my free time I enjoy cooking, walking my dogs and listening to podcasts.

I hold a Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s Degree from Phillips Graduate Institute, Chatsworth, CA. I work with families, couples and individuals.
My previous work experiences include working as a community mental health therapist, working with families and children in crisis and helping Seniors with serious mental illness (SMI).
My therapeutic method involves a person-centered approach, which empowers the client to reach their potential through self-awareness, acceptance, and openness. As a therapist my role is to assist clients in recognizing options, problem-solving, developing healthy relationships and encouraging them to discover and build on their personal strengths. Some additional theories I utilize in therapy include internal Family systems therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman’s couple therapy.
When working with couples and families I believe the relationship is the client.

I believe that real change comes from creating a solution focused mindset based on accountability & hope that change is possible. I believe that our work together should be forward progress focused & I will work to help you create a path towards becoming your best & most authentic self through committed action.
Together we can create the life that you want which comes from building a foundational mindset based on purpose, values, & accountability. This work will not only deepen your relationship with self but with those around you as you develop the tools necessary to communicate effectively, resolve conflict, & create deep lasting connections.
I specialize in working with adults, teens, couples, families & groups; and work from the theoretical frameworks of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy & Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Denver, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy with my clients which primarily involves talk therapy. I want to ensure that I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients. I also utilize mindfulness, and some person centered approaches which ensure that I tailor the experience to fit the needs of my individual client. I want to help empower my clients by teaching them coping skills to deal with different problems. I believe that your thoughts, and attitudes can impact your feelings and actions.
In my spare time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, baking and spending time with my dog Zoey.
Dennis Adams
With close to a decade of experience in mental health, my specialty is working with clients struggling to overcome the impact of trauma, depression, anxiety, & grief. I offer support and guidance while challenging clients to make the changes they want. Everyone has the strength & resilience to overcome their difficulties & create a life with purpose. Sometimes, all you need is a gentle nudge out of your comfort zone.
Change is a process that extends beyond the therapy room & I am dedicated to helping you integrate the insights from our sessions into your everyday life. My goal is to empower you to find a deeper understanding of yourself & make the changes you deserve.
I like working with older teens & adults within the theoretical frameworks of Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Experiential / Somatic Therapy, Existential Therapy, & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy everything outdoors (climbing, cycling, backpacking, hiking, skiing), seeing live music, dancing, video games, board games, reading, hanging out with my cat & my partner!

My credentials include a Bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Studies from The University of Utah, & a Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver. My niche includes helping children + youth with trauma (medical, parental substance use, abuse, neglect, attachment ruptures) & grief. I’ve spent over a decade working & serving in diverse spaces with adolescents & have loved every minute of it!
My therapeutic lens recognizes the importance of the individual, the therapeutic relationship, attachment, neuroscience, involving & supporting caregivers / family systems, play & expressive therapy, & capitalizing on the mind-body connection. Interventions I use often include aspects of Synergetic Play Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Art/Expressive/Sand tray therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, & psychoeducation.
I fill my cup out of session by dabbling in all sorts of outdoor activities, hanging with my elderly dogs, reading, & local outings. But most of all laughing & making memories with the people that I love!
